So far, I'm keeping up with the meme, but it's getting tougher to stay on top of it.

I actually suggested Endless Shrimp at Red Lobster even though I wasn't very hungry. I was a bit hungrier by the time we got our food, though. Curt ordered an appetizer that looked great, without the pico de gallo, which is usually the only part of a nacho dish that has tomatoes. Well, there were apparently tomatoes in the cheese mix as well. Why would you do that? Anyway, it still looked great, and I might order it sometime if they still have it next time, and I'm hungrier, and I'm not getting endless shrimp. (It's still a pretty good deal even if you only get three portions. It's cheaper than a similar dinner where you don't even get to choose the three types of shrimp.)

I spent most of the day publishing a Space Quest video with some fancy stuff in it. The good news is that because this was only the first half of my recorded footage, the next video should be just a matter of edits on the remainder, and in order to determine where to split the video, I had to do most of that editing to get a total length that I could split about in half. I've got a bit more trimming to do to clean up from that split, and the second half doesn't have a very good beginning, but I spent about a minute trying to click on the slot machine, so that could be enough.

Day 17 - Favorite tsundere

Well, I'm working with the possibly flawed notion that a "tsundere" is a girl who's angry or mean most of the time, but hides a sweet nature behind the façade. I'm sure I've seen plenty of those in anime, but offhand, the one I think has to be my favorite is difficult to say. I'm really torn between Nagi from Hayate the Combat Butler and Ogiue from Genshiken. I'm not sure whether Ogiue really counts as a tsundere, particularly since the only thing she really seems to hate are otaku, but since she spends most of her time (almost all we see of her in the series, actually) in an otaku club, we see a lot of her tsuntsun side. Then she has to cave to the fact that she actually likes at least some anime, and her deredere side comes out to play. Saki is probably even more like that, but I think Ogiue is the more fun character, particularly considering how she was introduced to the club. Saki allows herself to be dragged to the meetings by her boyfriend and finds herself enjoying the atmosphere and the subject matter, while Ogiue loves the anime and hates the otaku. As for Nagi... well, she just loves anime, manga, video games, and pretty much all the stuff I love, doesn't hide any of it, and pretends to be mad at Hayate pretty much all the time even though she has a huge crush on him. The ladies of otakudom are some of the best tsundere there are, in my mind.

I like those two in manga as well, but the ultimate tsundere has to be Hime from Yozakura Quartet. She's so tsundere that "The Tsundere Song" is the town song, and she's the mayor. She keeps up a stony façade because she has to - as the mayor, she can't show favoritism to anyone, or any sign of weakness, but inside, she's as vulnerable and fragile as anyone in her position would be. The Hime in Princess Resurrection is pretty cool too, but her deredere nature still scares me. Even when she's being nice, it seems like it's only so she can get something, like the satisfaction that her servant is completely dependent on her blood.
