Christmas was great as always - we had Cornish hens for lunch and played a couple rounds of King of Tokyo, since I already knew how to play and could explain it pretty easily. But I also got a copy of Dominion from my youngest brother, and mom and I gave that a go after everyone else had left. It's great. I went to a local game shop to see if they had any expansions, but they only had the second expansion, Seaside, due to the Christmas rush. They also had one copy of the out of print Mega Man board game, and when I said I was on the fence about buying it, the proprietor offered a good discount, so I bought it. Other gifts included a trivet made by the same guy who made the cutting board I've been using (I knew that was coming), a Doctor Who cat shirt, some diabetic cookbooks, a bottle of high-quality olive oil, and the complete H.P. Lovecraft collection - Mom had bought it for a brother who's into Lovecraft, but he already had the same edition, so I traded him my copy of the A Wrinkle In Time trilogy. I'd been considering buying it for myself anyway, so now I've got a copy and I can finally find out what it's all about. I also got some gift cards to Barnes & Noble and Best Buy, so I bought The Last Guardian and Final Fantasy XV, a copy of King of New York (it'll take a while to get used to, I think - the simplicity of King of Tokyo makes it a bit easier to get into), the aforementioned manga and board games, and a frying pan made from the same material as the griddle I've been using.

The weather held up surprisingly well for the trips both directions, and I made it home this morning with plenty of time to let the absurdly huge FFXV patch download so I can play it - perhaps a bit before bed, perhaps tomorrow instead. I spent most of the day playing Shantae: Half-Genie Hero, and ended up getting what I believe are all of the transformation dances and most of the upgrades for them. I plan to start tomorrow with some grocery shopping, just to get me through the rest of the week.

Yes, I'm THAT Nidoking. Sometimes I write fanfiction... often I waste all my time playing video games and watching anime. But it's not a waste if I enjoy it, right? I can quote from a movie, video game, anime series, or British comedy apropos of just about any situation, and one of my main goals in life is to entertain people. (The other big one is amassing as much anime and manga as I can... see below for a progress report.) That's me in a nutshell. ("Help! I'm trapped in a nutshell! What a bloody great nutshell this is!")
