Today's Bridge: Dan H. and I came out on top today, by a fair margin. The opponents went for a slam and missed by two, letting us take the first rubber, then pulled ahead in the second rubber before I picked up S Q-x-x-x H A-K D A C K-Q-J-9-x-x. Kevin opened 1D to my left and Ken responded 1H, so I jumped to 4C. My hand seems a little strong for that, but with both opponents bidding and my partner not, I figured something drastic was in order. Kevin bid 4H, and Dan H. thought about it for a long time before raising me to 5C. Kevin doubled that, but with S K-x H J-x-x D Q-x-x-x C 10-x-x-x in dummy, the contract was pretty cold - with the 2-1 trump split, I only lose the two black aces, and Kevin led hearts both times, pulling Ken's queen and establishing the jack if I'd needed it.

Today's Work: I was relieved to discover that I hadn't made a mistake in creating the repository that eliminated the empty folders - git just doesn't index empty folders. I found a way online to make them work properly, and that was pretty much my day. I'm still poking around with tools along the way. I'm hoping to be able to do some neat stuff soon.

I suspect that there are many README files out there in the world that exist solely because someone really wanted to commit a directory structure!

Yes, I'm THAT Nidoking. Sometimes I write fanfiction... often I waste all my time playing video games and watching anime. But it's not a waste if I enjoy it, right? I can quote from a movie, video game, anime series, or British comedy apropos of just about any situation, and one of my main goals in life is to entertain people. (The other big one is amassing as much anime and manga as I can... see below for a progress report.) That's me in a nutshell. ("Help! I'm trapped in a nutshell! What a bloody great nutshell this is!")
