[sticky post] Sep. 15th, 2015

For those just joining us, or those who've known me since before I made this entry... welcome to the unofficial home of Nidoking's brain! This is a place where I dump a lot of information every night that I really don't want to carry around in my head, or maybe I've got a CRAZY notion that it'll entertain someone other than me. *pfft* Like THAT ever happens. Anyway, feel free to take a look around and see what I've been up to recently.

The Audience Participation exercise to end all Audience Participation exercises (except those that come after it):
Respond to this entry with interview questions that you'd like me to answer in my daily posts. Each day, I'll pick a question (if there are any I haven't answered yet) and answer it in my daily post, then respond to the comment here with a link to that entry. So if there are already some comments down there, you should be able to hunt down the answers easily enough and see what I've already said about myself or the random topics these jokers like to post about. (My friends are great, but a little off their rockers at times. I, on the other hand, have never been ON my rocker to begin with, so nobody out-randoms me and gets away with it!)

I may add some links here to favorite entries of my past, but other than the Young Ones/Monty Python crossover I listed in my Memories, I can't think of any right now. Oh well. We'll see what happens as I remember more things.

See what I meant about my friends and their rockers? This was indeed my first interview question, and I answered it here.

Interview question, huh?
In a physical battle between a PS2 and a GameCube, who do you think will win?

Re: Interview question, huh?
Took me a while to get to this one, but I didn't want to take the obvious way out and say "The X-Box would come in and cream them both", because X-Box is an expensive, technologically advanced piece of garbage as far as I'm concerned. But it has Munch's Oddyssey on it... Grrr. The answer I actually gave can be found here.

A Question
A woman, while at the funeral of her mother, met this guy whom she did not know. She thought the guy was amazing, her dream man! She fell in love with him instantly, but never asked for his phone number and could not find him after the funeral. A few days later she killed her sister.

Question: What is her motive in killing her sister?

Re: A Question
Hey, an actual question in my "ask me a question" thread for a change!

First, let me say that that is a really disturbing icon. If you really want to root out psychopaths, you should probably start closer to home.

And yes, I know the trick behind your question, and that it doesn't work even when you try it on people as clueless as you took me to be. I'm generally a fun guy, but I produce my own fun. Trying to have fun at my expense just gets you a lot of me not obliging. The me-not-obliging that serves as the answer to this particular question can be found in this entry.

Wow... it's back. And with a comment so witty, it had to be posted twice to make sure we common plebes didn't miss the point. Well, because we're all so clearly incapable of your level of *ahem* humor, I'll take your point under advisement on behalf of all of us. We all understand that you're a jerk who feels the need to prove his stupidity but can't be bothered to open his own livejournal to do it. The point is made. You can shut up any time. Please.

About the PS2 vs. GameCube thing
One of my friends said that Tech TV tested the endurance of not only the GameCube and PS2, but the X-Box as well, and that GameCube won all the tests.

Re: About the PS2 vs. GameCube thing
Go Nintendo. The PS2 still has a better collection of games as far as I'm concerned.

That’s right. I am starting an anti-steaksammich comment revolution. My goal is 0 comments for the rest of February. I need everyone to help. I have been steaksammich’s best friend for nearly 10 years and I am trying to stop his lame attempts to get more comments. He has been honing LJ tactics to get maximum comments for years now and its got to stop. Please help me stop his comment addiction.
Thank you.

Please spread the word. Make this icon yours to show support.

A) That's not a question. I distinctly said that replies to this entry have to be questions. You owe me a question now.

B) How does his getting comments hurt you so much that you'd go to such lengths to stop it? Is this the action of a "best friend"? I'm glad you're not mine. I don't get many comments as it is.

C) Personally, I keep a livejournal as much as a way to connect to people and have fun as a record of my daily life. And part of the fun is making and receiving entertaining comments. I love commenting on his entries and tossing the burden of response back and forth. That's part of my daily routine. Why do you want to take that away from me? What have I ever done to you?

D) You still owe me a question.

Why are you answering all of your questions in the comments section? I thought you woudl blog about them. You are dumb.
Mar. 24th, 2005 05:39 pm (UTC)
Re: Why
Have you actually READ the comments section? Most of the comments people have put here aren't actually questions, so there was no reason to make an entry for them. This one is a question, however inane, and because I smell a rat here, I answered it in this entry. If one of us is dumb, I'm not that one.

One more comment...
I'll think of a question at the end.

I've never actually gone through the entire thread here before, and now that I have, I'm noticing that you attracted an awful lot of weirdoes! In fact, while your journal does attract some really cool people, it also seems to attract... hm... sort of not as cool people.

Why? Do you know why? I don't know why. I don't expect you do, either. It just seems odd. I don't get weirdoes in my journal very often... I don't think?

How R U
How long has it been since you stopped exercising? Do you find that you've gotten flabby? Compare...before & now...are you lazier? How's your body structure? Are you over weight? Do you have a belly? Flabby belly? Don't you think you should be doing some kind of exercising? Although you're young, don't you think we all need to maintain? Just simple walking can change your life, really. I suggest it. If I lived near you, we could take walks together.

i thought of a question!
if you could design your own holodeck program, who whould be in it, what would you do, what would the setting be? if it was based in a particular historical time peroid, when would it be? would you base it on a book or legend?

yo dude!
Yo dude this is Rich from high school! I was talking with alex about the Doom movie (it's just coming out here) and I was like "man I shoulda paid more attention to matt in high school rambling on about Doom cause if I did I'd actually know the monsters in the movie."

Then I was like "yo let me go google matt" and google did not disappoint. lemme know what's up, I'll see ya!
Apr. 13th, 2006 02:11 am (UTC)
Re: yo dude!
Well, that answers my question. I suppose using my real name has its advantages.

I heard that the Doom movie wasn't very good. But did I really ramble that much about the game? I suppose I probably did. Boy, when I look back on myself in my younger years, I never like what I see. I'm glad those days ended yesterday or so. I'm a new me.

As for what's up, I'm in the process of buying my first real home, working for the U.S. government, and about to go take a shower and play some Kingdom Hearts 2, which I assume you guys beat months ago. ^_~

Upon stumbling on this entry, I must ask, "Is your name really Matt?"

Because I'm usually content to simply think of you as "Nidoking, that some-what witty guy who posts funny news articles so I waste time at work reading thme."
But now my curiousity has been peeked.
As a follow up question, "Will you crush my curiousity on having to know things that are none of my god damn business?"

The Portal
wassup man. i've read quite a few of your fanfics since i was in high school 4 years ago, and i still remember them after all these years. for one of your particular series, "the portal," ash releases all of his pokemon, muk included, but was able to use muk to battle gary while trying to enlist gary's help. i thought the only pokemon that came back to him was pikachu and pidgeot. was it a different muk, or did i miss the part where muk comes back to him?

Why are the french incapable of making anything well with exception of cheese, and whine? For that matter, for what reason, never mind the actual factual history of it, but in your own words, without any background info, why did the french invent escargot?
Mar. 19th, 2007 02:11 am (UTC)
I tried, but this is all I could come up with. A better question might be how come their cheeses and wines are so good?

Yes, I'm THAT Nidoking. Sometimes I write fanfiction... often I waste all my time playing video games and watching anime. But it's not a waste if I enjoy it, right? I can quote from a movie, video game, anime series, or British comedy apropos of just about any situation, and one of my main goals in life is to entertain people. (The other big one is amassing as much anime and manga as I can... see below for a progress report.) That's me in a nutshell. ("Help! I'm trapped in a nutshell! What a bloody great nutshell this is!")
